Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT'S A GREAT GAMEDAY ATMOSPHERE? BELLS AND YELLS.

Our sellout crowds and passionate fans at Davis Wade Stadium don't need noisemakers to be loud. By following one line in our fight song - "For dear 'ole State we'll yell like H-E-L-L!!" we will ensure that Scott Field remains one of the toughest places for opponents to come each and every year. So... let's all follow the example we set last season at the Arkansas game and ring responsibly.

HOW DID WE DO LAST YEAR?

Good and bad. We got off to a slow start in the first two conference games, and were penalized for it this spring with a substantial fine. The final two games we did a much better job and that progress provided the momentum we needed to convince our conference partners that we CAN and WILL continue to abide by the rules set forth.

CAN THIS PLAN WORK?

Of course it can. The compromise was successful for the final two home games last year when our fans began to understand how "the bell and the yell" can work together.

DO THESE RULES APPLY TO ROAD GAMES?

No. This compromise was reached to allow our fans to bring their cowbells into Davis Wade Stadium. We ask that Bulldog fans respect and follow other schools' stadium policies.
